|About the Book|
The Westgate Run is a pub crawl of legend, many have tried it, some have succeeded. Fathers have passed tales down to sons, mothers to daughters, Brides have married with hangovers, grooms have been tied up and left at beer tables dressed in chicken costumes, and tales have been embellished beyond the levels of human comprehension. Buses once brought groups from across the North of England and beyond, and people would always come back looking for more. This book aims to rekindle the love of the Wakefield public, and those further afield, in this short stretch of road that contains, according to some, the highest proliferation of bars in the country.
